As described in a previous post, I have been developing some ideas for an art project around freeports. I will be posting more on this project soon. Although not directly related to the freeport project, I have loved doing this drawing of a container port. Although this drawing took quite some time, it has a simplicity in that it contains a lot of repetition. However, there is also a complexity to the composition with all kinds of interesting things happening. One thing I love is that each container represents a 3-D space and it takes me back to my project Expedition to the 4th Dimension through the space inside a cube.
